Would a 265/75/16 and a 265/75/18 be the exact same height tire just less sidewall on the 18 for the 18 inch wheel? What difference beside the hole in tire for wheel?

Yep, 2" taller because the wheel is 2" bigger. Same tread width and sidewall height.

Just trying to find the best tire fit for my 17' Limited. I want bigger but no lift. I see some says biggest is 265/65/18 and some say you can fit a 275/60/18.....

Go 265/65r18. That's +1" over stock and at most you'll rub the mud flaps. Loads of people run that size on stock suspension.

So stock is 265/60/18 and you can definitely fit a 265/65/18 - which is 1 inch taller?

The difference is a 275/65/18 and 265/65/18 is just that one is slightly wider - same height....

Yes, you can definitely fit the 265. The 275 is questionable though. You may be close to running the UCA. Not worth the risk IMO.

So lets say stock is 265/60/18 Michelin and I got with the BFG 265/65/18 - how much bigger would that tire be with all the extra tread.....Look quite a bit beefier on the truck? Thats what I'm going for.

265/65 is just a hair over 1" taller than the 265/60.

It would look awesome. The key to it looking good is to pick a tire with an aggressive sidewalk. KO2s, Cooper ST maxx, cooper stt pro, etc. If you get a normal ass street tire it's going to look boring.

Thanks guys - you have been so much help.

So middle number is height - first number is width.....I'm just learning this stuff! I always just match number and go buy new tire same as OEM....but on this truck I want a little more aggressive tread and beefier tire.

First number is width in mm, second number is aspect ratio which ultimately translates to sidewall height with a little math. 265/65 means the sidewall is 65% of the width, 265 in this case, so the sidewall is 265 x 0.65 = 172.25mm = 6.78".

If you're lazy and sitting in front of a computer, this is a pretty good tool as well.

275 will likely rub though as they are wider than stock and some have reported they rub the cab mount
