Tire Rack now offers free shipping

Yup, just as the title states, Tire Rack now offers free shipping on tires. It doesn't appear to be a promotional thing either. Just comparing a few different tires, Tire Rack appears to be cheaper than Discount Tire Direct now. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, as I personally never even bothered to check Tire Rack anymore when tire shopping.

 

Hmmmmmm thinking of going back to Cooper ST/MAXX tires might have to take a look thanks man.

 

That's cause they drop ship to the address you specify. They drop shipped into my backyard got home and found four new tires in my backyard one day.

Tire Rack is not remotely competitive on BFG truck tires. I wish we had an America's Tire in ND

 

Yeah I’m a huge fan of discount tire/America’s tire. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them. I wish I had a local one here as well. I only had them when I lived down in FL.

 

Technically it is not free. They raised their prices to cover the shipping. Last week I was looking at some General, Cooper and Yokohama 35" tires and they all went up anywhere from $30 to $50 per tire.

 

Same difference as I’m sure DTD does the same thing. I just go off the final shipped price and where DTD used to be king, tire rack is stepping up for some tires.

 

Yeah, I just checked DTD and they are the same price now as Tire Rack for the 35's I was comparing. Last week everything was cheaper.... Oh well, I have purchased from Tire Rack and DTD and they both are great companies to deal with.

 

Just checked some LT315/70R17 Cooper STT Pros: Tire Rack $285.12 ea. DTD for the win at $233.30 ea. I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow the prices are different though.

 

Dang, that’s a hell of a difference. When I checked before making this thread I just peeked at some KO2s and TR won by $20-$30 in some sizes. Guess it really depends on which tire.
