We have Wildpeaks on the Tundra and Toyos on the Runner and both do great for an all season tire. Have yet to run Duratracs but am tempted to put them on the Chevy next just to see how they perform for myself. Everyone around here swears by Duratracs, all the trucks with snow plows run them.

It's hard to beat Duratrac's all round/weather capability when they are new. First 2 years in snow/winter are amazing, but they quickly turn to shit (in winter) as they wear. My SL Toyo AT III's didn't last long and were just OK in winter IMO. No AT tire, even with 3Peak rating, is going to stand against a dedicated snow tire.

Anyone know how well the nitto recon grapplers are by chance or know anything about them? I have been told they are good by a couple of friends in north Carolina.

Patagonia MTs spent last winter in the snow in Crested Butte, CO -- they were great all winter. I keep the PSI lower and drive quite a bit in 4WD. No issues.

Another vote for the Toyo AT IIIs. I have been impressed with them driving to and from the ski area and around town on snowy/icy roads.

Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S works great for me here in Central New York, 110" snow average (once in a while get that much in one storm!) All year long. But good recs here too.

15 years with the same set of BFG commercial T/A traction. I love these stupid things

Run BFG AT. No issues running in snow up in Big Bear CA, never had to use chains, just 4x4 with these tires.

My vote would the Falken Wildpeak. I have the AT3W and always ran Michelin's before. Hands down, the best tire I've ever experienced in the snow.
Now, it would have to be the AT4W, but I assume they will perform similarly in most aspects.

Just make sure you get the SL version with the softer winter compound rather than the LT with the deeper tread depth. It’s a little deceptive selling on both points when you have to choose one or the other, unless that’s been changed in the 4 update.

Agreed. I have the SL version in a 265/75-16. They are a really comfortable tire on the road too. My son has the LT series on his JL Rubicon and says they are phenomenal in snow compared to the KO2s they replaced. He loves them.

Snow belt (rust belt) survivor here and my Cooper Discoverer AT34s 265R70/17s work incredibly well in the snow...all year round too.
