Looking to do a lift and some new tires. What are some options people are using, I don't want to have to cut anything out. Thanks in advance.

Are you wanting to "do" the part or just "look" the part with your lift and new tires?

It makes a difference in how you will be steered here.

265/70R17 is a good size. Its ~1 inch larger than the stock 265/65R17 tires and you won't have to worry about rubbing. 255/80R17 tires are good too, but they are taller and skinnier than 265/70R17

255 is only 10mm skinnier than 265. Can’t really tell a difference. My 255s look just like my 265s did, just much taller.

You should be able to pick up some slick rubber pretty cheap.

You’re paying about $1000 too much for that.

Leveling lift w/ spacers or real lift?

If you get a real lift with UCA’s and a alignment tech who knows what they are doing along with the right wheel offset you can get 285/75r16.

Many go with a 2" front lift and a 1" in the back end and run no larger than 33" tires if you really want to lift. If you go higher than a 2" lift, then add to that nice bill($$) some quality UCA's. The real question to ask is, what are you going to use the truck for?

"Mall Crawler" or a daily driver, rock crawling, or the occasional off road on Forest Service roads adventurer, or all of the above: Figure that out first, and then go from there. Just do it right the first time around.

Just go straight to 33s, save yourself the grief and regret.

    And no stock rims.

The truck is used for back country camping. Lots of forestry road driving. Also use it as a commuter for work in the city.

The stock tire size and type will handle that fine. If you want a little more off the pavement performance at the expense of rolling resistance and tread wear, you could look at P rated all terrain tires in the stock OR size: P265/70r16

265-70-17 all you need. SL rated. Don't fall for the you need E rated for what you're doing. Weight matters on these midsize trucks.

But they are E rated and weigh quite a bit more than the SL. For what he's doing he really doesn't need E rated tires.

These skinny 33s are only 52 pounds, not bad at all IMHO.

But yes if not wheeling, E rated are overkill.
