Hey guys, just bought this 2015 AC and figured I'd put the original wheels back on. These aftermarket tires are Nitto Terra Grappler 265/70R17 that the previous owner put on, and I have determined (with the help of this forum) that the truck has a spacer lift on it (I think probably 2"). If I get the lift removed, I figure the original wheels and tires would look fine. However, if I leave the lift on there, would putting the original wheels (16") look silly? I need to get new tires for the original wheels anyway (current ones on original wheels are Dunlop P245/75R16), so I was wondering if y'all had any recommendations for perhaps a bigger tire to go on the original wheel but without a significant hit to MPG. I do 99% of my driving on road and don't really care that much about how aggressive the tread looks.

I would just keep the lift and put your original wheels back on. If you do highway driving exclusively, I highly recommend Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires. Super quiet and long lasting.

Plus 1 on the Michelin Defender LTX M/S. I've been running the LTX M/S on my all my rigs long before they put the name Defender on them. Well worth the extra $$ when it comes to performance and longevity.

The least hit to MPG is 31” 265 70 17 on a light wheel with little or no lift. Or stock.

Plus two on the Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires, just bought my third set a couple of days ago. Excellent tires in the rain, last a long time.

The 265/70/17's are only 1" taller than stock and either the same width, or about 3/4" narrower than stock. Some trucks (mine) came with 265/70/16's, others 245/75/16. Both of those are the same height and the 245's are about 3/4" narrower. In other words not enough to matter much. I'd stay with 265/70/17's, but even if you drop down to a smaller tire the truck will look fine with such a small lift.
