i have a 2017 TRD Sport 4x4, extended cab, and want to upgrade rims and tires. I understand that the largest tire size for 17" rims, which are on there now are 265/70/17, and I have not, nor do I plan to, lift the truck.

Where I am getting a bit confused is determining stud size and pattern (6x139.7?), and what offset can be ordered without causing any rubbing.

I like the fuel ripper rims and would welcome suggestions as to where by on line that's prices well and would ship the tires and rims mounted, balanced, etc.

    Thanks

    Ron

17x9 -12 offset or the +1 offset , hub bore 108mm 6x139.7 bolt pattern seems to be the only compatible sizes in their spec sheets.

I think +1 should work fine with that tire size and stock height. The. -12 will stick out 1/2" further

I believe tire rack has fuels , the problem is if you want to keep your tire pressure sensors they will have to be taken out of your current wheels and transferred over

I have a -6 offset Fuel Trophy wheels.. same size tire. They are just even or out about 1/2" from the fender flares on my Sport.

I have Nitto Terra Grappler G2 265/70R17... Nitto has a new Ridge Grappler which is my next tire.
Get "C" load rated for the Tacoma... thats all you need. The E loads are a lot heavier tire.

Although many have said the 265 70 17 doesn't rub you're right on for considering offset etc.
With that, my duratracs rubbed on the front mud flaps at full lock under suspension compression (noticed it pulling out of my driveway)
but my wheels are 0 offset. So 0 offset will slightly rub. I removed the mud flaps and no more issues

    how do you like them?
I was going to get them but while reading reviews on kaltire read one where the guy said he will not drive in rain anymore with them as they aquaplane so easily.

The ridge only comes in E range in that size, but Goodyear durtracs do

What size are your rims 17x8 ?

I sell tires and I have never heard that complaint. They last long , ride well, balance well, but not aggressive looking enough. I would look at Falken Wildpeak AT3 or BFG KO2 both C range and 43-46 lbs

    Yep 17x8

And I'm not in the market for tires anymore. Already got my duratracs and I hate the ko2s

Does anyone know what the stock offset would be for the 17" rims on my 2017 Tacoma TRD sport 4wd?

    17x7.5 +34mm and off-road wheels are 16x7 +25mm

Btw when you are looking 6x5.5 is the same thing as 6x139.7

Great love em... no aquaplaning here. I've gone pretty fast on the highway in heavy rail lots of times.

Sometimes when it first rains going around turns (not highway) I get a slight rear slide but only on freshly wet asphalt... road oil and such... no tire is immune to that. I run my tires at 39 PSI

Yeah I double checked the Ridge Grappler and only E rated unless going up to 285s... I may have to go 285 C rated next! I wonder if it will rub with -6 offset.

I have a 2017 offroad..went with 275/65/17 tire (coopers) and wheel is 17x8 with 0 offset...no rub issues, non lifted....that setup moved the tires and rims out about 1 to 1.5 inches both sides from stock.......if I would have gone 275/70/17 I would have had rub issues...hope this gives you more of an idea.....cheers
