Sorry for the redundency...i have 33 12.50 on 15s right now but I don't want the width of that tire anymore. What are you guys driving that still has the 33 inch tire, but still drives nice, looks good, and sticks out a bit past the body. Send me your wheels and tires sizes. Thanks yall

Keeping the 15's you've got two options, 33x10.50r15 or 32x11.50 r15. Both of which are somewhat uncommon sizes and lack selection as far as tire sizes go. If you were looking to buy new wheels as well you'd have more selection as far as sizes and models in 16 or 17" wheels.

Yah, 33x10.5r16 is pretty much the only way to go if you don’t like 12.5. 11.5 won’t be much of a difference from 12.5 fuel efficiency/looks-wise. I’d move up to 16” if that size doesn’t suffice, then you have quite a bit more options to play with.

Ok....so at the risk of sounding like a dummy. I really like the 255/80/17 look. 1. Does that still come out to be a 33 inch tire? 2. What exact lug pattern and wheel do I need to buy online? 3. And will the whole tire be in the wheel well with this size tires. I didn't know if this would be a bad idea for rolling over aspects, pushing the tires closer together making it more prone to be top heavy.

    1. Will be 33.1x10r17
    2. Any 6x5.5 / 6x137.9 alloy or steel wheel in 17” that won’t hit the caliper. I’d get a 7” or 8” wide wheel.
    3. Where the tire will sit in your wheel well will depend on the backspacing of your wheel, the smaller the backspacing measurement the farther it sticks out. Granted yes, the tire will be a bit further in your wheel well because it’s 2.5” thinner than current.

Side note I’d look at getting 16’s instead of 17’s. I’d recommend SCS wheels (any model you prefer) with a 3.50” backspace if you want a specific wheel, and a tire size of 255/85r16 which works out to 33.1x10r16. Just my opinion though, I like smaller rim larger tire.

Damn I wish I could afford this because those are nice. I'm looking for a black steel no frill wheel. Post a pic of your wheels on the truck. My 12.50 stick out probably 1.25 inches from the body and I have a pinky distance from the UCA. I'm really just looking for a wheel to look good with the lift and also versatile with highway driving and light off-road.

These are 33x10.5, not mine and not SCS but I think this gives you a bit of an idea. I can’t give you a picture of that exact setup on SCS because I don’t have one.

This is another setup, 33x10.5 as well.

    Nice...yeah that's what I want. So a 255/85/16 Tire on any 6x5/ 3.5" BS will look similar?

Would an 8 " wheel be more practical for most highway driving/little trails or off-road?

Yeah just make sure it’s a 6x5.5” or 6x139.7mm (they are the same thing). Also make sure they clear the front calipers. If you want a plain steel wheel most likely you’ll be steered toward the Pro Comp Rock Crawler series of wheels. I don’t know if these fit and I’ve tried to research for first gens and half the threads say they do and half say they don’t. Some say the 87 series will fit but I don’t know where to get them. I believe most American racing wheels will fit. Mickey Thompson’s will too I think, just do some searching or use stock steelies.

Yes, 8” will be fine and easy to find wheel sizes in. 7” will give a bit of a beefier tire look because of the bulging sidewall but it’s personal preference.
