I know...use the search feature. I just wanted to talk to Gen 1 owners. I want to run 285/70R17 so have a couple questions.
    1. Are they too big for 2" body lift?
    2. What would be my best offset. I don't want to go aver -12, but would a 0 offset work any better?

    Thank you!

There is a tire size calculator in the Mods & Tutorials menu. I ran 285/75/16s on steelies with 2.75" suspension lift, with a 1" body lift to avoid hammering the pinch weld. I don't recall the offset on the steelies. But it looks like a 285/70/17 is smaller than a 285/75/16 by .12". So a 1" body lift should suffice.

Edit: for clairification, the 2.75" suspension lift does not play into what tire you can clear.

I used the calculator and here are the differences on the tire I have now and what I want. I'm looking at a 17x9 wheel with -6 offset.

    265/75-16 285/70-17 Difference
    Diameter inches (mm) 31.65 (803.9) 32.71 (830.8) diff 1.06 (26.9) 3.3%
    Width inches (mm) 10.43 (265) 11.22 (285) diff 0.79 (20) 7.5%
    Circum. inches (mm) 99.43 (2525.53) 102.76 (2610.04) diff 3.33 (84.51) 3.3%
    Sidewall Height inches (mm) 7.82 (198.75) 7.85 (199.5) diff 0.03 (0.75) 0.4%
    Revolutions per mile (km) 637.23 (395.96) 616.6 (383.14) diff -20.63 (-12.82) -3.2%
