Tire size experience with stock 15" wheels

Hi everyone. Sorry if this is a basic question that's been answered but I searched and couldn't find an answer. My issue:

I have a 2015 2wd with the stock 15" rims. I always thought the stock 215/70/15 tires seemed a bit how silly how small they are, so when I've got new tires I've gone a size or 2 larger (up to 225/70 or 225/75) which have worked fine and ride nicely (however the selection of tires for these sizes is pretty limited).

My question is have others gone larger, say up to 235/75/15 (without doing any modifications to stock), and what your experience is? Are there fit/clearance problems or any other issues? It would be nice to go to that size since there is a lot better selection of tires to choose from at that size.

And 235 75/15 fit with no mods.
