Hey fellow Taco owners - I have searched and read all 21 or 22 pages of the "Tire Size" thread. I thought I knew and then people start throwing in back spacing and Offset and now I am back to square one. Here is the scoop... I currently have 2012 DC Sport with 265/60/18 on her. I recently bought ProComp rims 17x8 6x5.5 bolt pattern and 4.5 back spacing. I also had Bilstein 5100s installed on all 4 corners with the fronts set at 1.75. Also added 1" block (Ready Lift) in rear. No TSB in rear. Not really going off-road but like the looks. Here is my question What size tires can I fit without any rubbing or trimming. I am looking at Hankook Dynapro ATm 265/70/17. Will they fit? Not looking too much to go wider just a little taller. Anybody running this set up?

    Thanks!~

those fit on my truck with front set at .85, on stock wheels, I believe they will fit on a stock truck. I just got the Dynapros in 255/75/17. a little taller and skinnier than what your looking at and they should fit as well.

That works. You wont rub. Or #2 like everybody else: bilstein spring at 2.5, 285/70/17, chop rear cab mount, trim plastics. Every other taco does this here. Or do nothing and stick with 265! Don't think about it too much, you'll go crazy just pick one and go.

OK, here's how I have it figured. Changing from 265/60/18 to 265/70/17 you would be increasing your tire diameter 1", the width is the same. Stock backspacing should be 4.5" so you're not changing that. On my 2012 DC I had to remove the two splash guards located at the front of the front tires, two 10mm bolts each. Can't figure out why they are there anyhow. You have approx. an inch of lift/level. IMHO, I see no reason why the wheel/tire combination you want would'nt work. Oh and listen to BenJammn and don't sweat it too much. Just saying...............G

Thank's Gentlemen! I do feel better about my decision. I am going to order now. It's crazy everything you read. I read 20 posts that say they fit no problem and then turn the page and you have 10 posts where everyone is rubbing or trimming. I have no issues taking of the front splash guards off. Thanks again!!
