First, I did search, as you can see to the left, I've been here quite awhile :D

I currently have 265 75 16's, 2.5 spacer lift (all I could afford) with spidertrax 1.25 spacers and stock OR rims

Can I fit a 285 75 16 without mods except cutting if needed?

    Thanks

Same conflict here. I am installing billy's at 2.5 just cant decide whether to keep 265/70/17 or go to 285's. I will be running stock rims and uca's right now.

I have an '06 double cab with 2.5" spacer too. We just put 285/75/16's on ours and had to cut the fenders some. Be prepared for "bump steering" though. Unfortunately I haven't found anyone that makes a steering stabilizer for our year taco. The dealer recommended a lower tire pressure so I'm checking that idea out tomorrow. I'll post my findings.

Yea I got the bump stearing your talking about. Maybe I got too much air in mine too. Tire shop recommended 35psi but I went higher because of the recommendation on the tire. Gonna try lowering the pressure to see if it helps.

I dropped my tire pressure to 50psi and it did help. Thinking about going down to 45psi to see how it handles on the frwy.

DROPPED it to 50?! What was it before? Most people run 30-35 psi.

I origainally had them at 60psi (it's what the tire shop put them at). Dropped the tire pressure down again today to 42psi. A lot better. I'll see how it goes and determine if I'd rather go down more.

I have no bumpsteer. 285/70R17 Nitto Trail Grapplers, running 30 psi front 28 psi rear, think it needs 2 more psi up front... rear is fine though. 40, 50, 60 psi? Are you towing a yaght 24/7?
