Hey everyone, I'm returning my '18 TRD OR 4x4 to stock (currently on a lift with SCS F5's 17x8.5 -10 offset, 4.5 backspace on 33's) for various reasons, mainly way more street miles and will be selling in a year or so. I have a CMC and some trimming already that were needed to fit my 33's. I'm planning on keeping the wheels and getting smaller tires.

I know that stock trucks can go one tire size up (265/70/r17) but I'm wondering if I'll still be able to do this with my wheels since they have that -10 offset. I know the CMC will help if there are issues, but I didn't do anything to the front fenders and just minimal trimming near the CMC. Anyone running the next tire size up on their stock trucks with different wheels that have zero to negative offset?

    Oh look, another mod....
If you're going to sell it in a year, why do this?

    Yes.

    Zero offset: no issues.

Negative offset: some people have minor rub if the wheel is both turned and compressed.

    With CMC: no issues.

Because I'm not sure about that just yet. Depends on the car market. It's mainly because I want more stock riding characteristics at this point with all the miles I'm going to be putting on it. I gotta turn it back into more minivan status :)

thanks, even in the front? (since I didn't do any trimming or anything there). Also, not sure if this matters but I'll probably be looking at a less aggressive tire. Something in between the stock wranglers and my current K-bros.

No you've confused me. You only trimmed the rear axle o_Oo_O, or did you mean you've only trimmed the rear side of the front fender?

Either way, the people I've seen who've reported rub said it was minor enough to still run it. And it's a crap shoot on who rubs on what setup. The vast majority of people don't have issues at that size even with negative offset. I've heard of maybe one or two who did.

I'm guessing you're not doing heavy flexing when going back to minivan status, so I wouldn't worry about it. :D

Sorry, yes I meant the front/rear of the front fenders. And awesome, thanks man. Now its time to find the right tires. Probably SL or C load. I see they make a wrangler ultraterrain... and the new BFG trail terrain look good too.
