I ran 265\75r16 Goodyear Duratracs without rubbing. I just switched to Coopers in 255\85r16 & have minimal rubbing only in reverse when backing out of the driveway. I am running 5100s at 1.75 with stock wheels & Spidertrax spacers.

No, the biggest tire that can be run on a stock suspension without rubbing is 265/75r16. I had minor rubbing on the mud flaps, so I took them off. Later, I added 5100s set at 1.75 & the spaces for the look. Last week I changed to 255\85r16, which are taller & skinnier. The new tires do rub, but I suspect that will lessen or stop if I remove the spacers or start cutting.

The 275/70r16s are slightly shorter & wider than the 265\75r16s, so you should expect some rubbing without spacers. You may need the spacers just to clear the spindles or uca ball joints with those tires.

Also, lifting the front using 5100s spacers, etc does not change the suspension components enough to clear larger tires. If you want to fit significantly larger tires you will need to change UCAS, spindles, do a cab mount chop, etc.

A better place for this question would be the wheels/tires section. There is a lot more specific info for tires & many of the other members are more knowledgeable on this subject.

I ran my 265/75/16 with no rubbing before lift. Others have different stories. Depends on rim/backspacing/etc.

275/70/17 is basically the same size as 275/65/18's (32x10.8") that I ran in the past with a 2.5" lift without spacers and factory 18's.(18x9, 5.4" backspacing). Only minor plastic rubbing in reverse at full lock. I doubt you will have issues, maybe crank it up to 2.5" if needed.

New Navigation DVD/CD/TV/AV/Bluetooth Stereo and seat mod spacers, 1" hubcentric spacers, seat heaters....
with the 1.25 spacers, you will get some rubbing at full lock and when cycling the suspension, it you go to the .75" spacers, that problem will go away.....tolerances are close, I rubbed @1.25", but the .75" Bora's were perfect....running 265/70/17...stock suspension, no lift, Blisteins HD's all the way around....
