I am sorry if this has been talked about but I cant seem to find and info on it.

I have a 2017 TRD Off Road and I am looking and putting new tires on it. Right now the truck is stock and I want to leave it that way. It has 265/70R16 on it and I would like to put a 305/70R16 on it. My question is will it rub if I go this big? Will I have to put a wheel spacer on it and if so what size?

    Any info is greatly appreciated.

That will not work at all, it will tear your fender off and destroy your suspension lol

Just curious, but what’s the point in even putting that big of a tire on? You doing some serious trail riding?

you'll still need to do a ton of trimming to the fenders/wheel wells and factor in the offset of whatever wheels you get

You'll need new UCAs and probably want a regear too

For a daily driver that would be a nightmare

Yes I do heavy trail driving. Not a lot of wheeling but I do go out in the forest a lot. I ride dirtbikes and some of the places I go it would be nice to have a little more ground clearance.

You’ll want a taller tire then if you want more ground clearance, not wider. I would recommend seeing some of the “skinny” tire options available or go down to 285/75’s for your needs if that’s what you’re after. The 305’s you mentioned are shy of being 33’s.

Also, isnt a 305/70/r16 only 2 inches bigger than a
I know I thought about the skinny option also but I tow a travel trailer and a wider profile would be nice. I will have to figure it all out and see what I come up with.

Your problem is stock suspension, you'll need to upgrade if you want to fit either of those sizes
