I recently put on a set of Falken 265/75/16 aswell. Good tire. But when i get my new wheels and bilsteins, im switching to a 265/75/16 Goodyear duratrac c load. I want a slightly more aggressive tire but dont want e load.

Someone has to say it... lift doesn’t help you clear tires if you fully cycle your suspension. If you rub stock, you’ll just spend less time rubbing lifted. If the truck reaches the same points of downtravel (which it should, especially off-road) it’s going to rub the same whether it’s lifted or stock. I ran 285’s stock for 4 months, cut and trimmed until there was zero rubbing, then lifted.

So if the solid surface below the mud or snow is 2' or 3' deep you get stuck faster?

I no idea really... i've only driven the Blizzaks on the Tacoma. I'm sure the Arctic claws would be fine; like the review I posted; the Blizzak was only better than the goodyear studded by a foot or 2 or a second or 2 and .03 G's. What is amazing is that it was able to do that without studs; it would be really cool to see it go up against another winter compound that isn't studded.

From the three 3 winter tires that I had on our old subaru; I rank them (best to worst) ... Blizzaks (dm-v1's), Michelin X-ice, Dunlop Winter SPs ... all were good tires and were night and day better than an all season. The Michelin's did really good in a lot of conditions, but where the Blizzaks outperformed them was in deeper unplowed snow or the collected snow (like what sits between lanes and throws you when lane changing or what gathers a the entrance to a parking lot or driveway)... the blizzaks did better (i think) because they have larger lugs and larger channels; so they would bite in the loose snow; the X-ice's would float and push more in these conditions.

Looks great, what brand tires, did you have to remove the mudflaps?

Probably not. I got my Blizzaks at Costco (they run a special every fall) in late november for about just under $600 out the door and for that price on Blizzaks I wouldn't look at anything else.

Do you have a bigger picture showing the whole side of your truck, really digging those tires!

You could go with the budget lift of 5100’s? I did that, put a 1” block in the rear instead of AAL and my total was $420 for parts and $250 for install and an alignment. So all in all it was $670 roughly to lift my truck 1”. I could’ve gone more just would’ve needed a 2” block or leaf pack In the back and you’ll still be under $1000. I’m running 275/70/17 and it sits just right with 1”. IMO. With taking the mud flaps off and maybe just maybe a tad bit of inner fender well removal you can run them on stock height.
