So I have a 2008 Tacoma, and I just bought 17x10 Moto metals, and I’m already planning on doing a 3” lift and I just want to make sure 33s will fit fine, if not I’ll go smaller if anyone has any info that’d be great, thanks

What is the offset of the wheels you bought?

-24mm is approximately a 2.25” wider stance (sticking out further) than factory, depending on your original wheel. Oem wheels are around +30mm. That’s quite a bit. For example, my wheels are 0mm offset, which is about a 1” wider stance and they perfectly match the factory fender flares. The further out your wheels sit, the more pressure it puts on the wheel bearings. Also, your tires will really stick out past the fender flares unless you put new flares on. Just food for thought.

I was kinda planning on them sticking out quite a bit, I’m more going for the stance look, but I’m just wondering in tire size with a 3” lift if I will have to trim anything, or will they be okay, and I’m totally fine with going to a smaller tire so I don’t have to trim

255 is not going to be a good choice for a 17x10.

Why is 275 not a more popular option?

Go with 33x12.5....You’ll have to trim. 285’s aren’t going to provide the “stance” look.

I honestly don’t know much about the 285’s, 275’s so what you guys are saying 33’s are going to be too much, and 32/10.5r17 are going to be too tall??

Tall isn't the issue. It's width. Wide and offset rub.

So basically no matter what with the wheel size I bought I’m going to have rub?
