Sorry I'm new to the Tacoma World and modding my vehicle. I have a stock 18 TRD Sport. I have a 3in lift on the way. I need to know what size tires I can fit… I would like to put the tires on first then put the lift on. I'm looking to get BFG KO2 I have 17in wheels.

    Thanks.20180630_190213.jpg

GoFastCamper (#41), ARB 2500 Awning with Full Room, Mobtown Off-road Sliders and Full Aluminum Skids.
If it’s a sport (17” Rims) you can fit 255 80 R17’s Cooper ST Maxx is my choice, but I’d get the lift on there before any wheeling

    That’s backwards though.
The biggest tire on a stock suspension will be small when the lift goes on.
Wait for the lift and while you’re at it do the cab mount chop then figure out the biggest tire size you can go with.

Hey brother nice truck, you say that's a 2018? I am curious if it has TSS and if so I am interested in your grill and how you got around the TSS? As for me I am either going with 265/65 R18 or 275/65 R18 black rhino Pismo wheels with GFG KO2 or the nitto ride grapplers.....are you 4x4?

If it's a spacer leveling kit I don't think you'll see much if any spring settling..

Thanks! Yes 4x4 and has TSS. I have the sensor mounted to the back (doesn't work) the TSS for cruse control doesn't work if you want to use cruse control you gotta hold the button in and wait about 5sec for the non TSS cruse control. Other than that everything with great

255s are ugly, pass. 285/70/17s will fit with a 3 inch.

+1 on skinny tires being hideous...NEVER skip leg day..or you'll look stupid.

If you're doing a 3" lift you should be able to fit 285/70/17s with minimal rubbing and modification depending on the wheel backspacing and offset.

You should also look into what else is required when doing 2.5+ inch lifts. You'll need to install the ECGS bushing sooner or later, you may need new UCAs if you rub them and to get your alignment in spec.
