New to this Forum and soon to be new owner of a Tacoma TRD off road.
Question is, we recently sold a Jeep Grand Cherokee and kept some basically new Studded Snow tires.
I was wondering if they might be okay to use on the Tacoma.
    Tires are 235 65R17
Winter here is November to April so my concern is the reduced diameter being an issue for fuel mileage etc.since they would be on the truck for an extended period of time.
    Thanks

They might look a little funky but I can't see why not.

That's what I was thinking too. Certainly won't rob power but the smaller diameter would raise RPM and possibly suck more fuel. I'm sure I know what the guy at the Tire Store will say!

Will be physically possible but they're going to look microscopic...

Factory Off Road comes with 16" wheels. (265/70/16 which is 30.6" Tall & 10.3" Wide) Your tires are 29" tall & only 9.3" wide.

Your tires will not fit on the factory 16" wheels of course, but there may be something to be said about safety here even if you have some 17" wheels for them...

Not sure how much towing or hauling you'll be doing, especially in snow/ice. Stopping distance could suffer. Stability could suffer. It's hard to say but it is something to think about. May be worth selling those tires to someone who they will fit well and getting yourself a larger set.

I probably will sell them. The thought of a smaller looking tire and combined with handling issues will probably convince me.
