I am curious to what all tire sizes people are running with a 3" lift. I am currently running 275/65/18 (32") but want to go bigger. I was looking at either going with a 295/70/18 or a 285/65/18. Anyone running 34" tires with a 3" lift?

Running 285/75/16s. But if you're thinking about 295s just step it up and go 35"s/315s.

Thinking 35"s will definitely cause rubbing issues but could be wrong.

Lots of people will tell you anything over 265s rub. I think it depends on a lot of things like what lift you have, what your wheel specs are, etc.

Being a double cab, with 285s/33s you'll feel sluggish. You'll have some power loss and lose some EmPeeGees. You'll most likely have to do some cutting. Maybe pinch weld, maybe CMC.

But with 34"s you're already super close to 35"s. You'll most likely have to regear with both tire sizes.

More than likely will go with a 33".

I am running 285/70/17s on a 3 inch OME suspension lift with a on inch body lift which is almost a 33 inch tire. Still a little rubbing after some major trimming. But love them and well worth it!

@Star-Lord you have 34" tars right? What did you have to do to make them fit, kinda curious because I like the tire options in that size too.

Tires are 285/75-17, which is a tallish 34" tire.
Wheels I ended up with are 17x9, 4.5" backspacing. The extra width on the wheel is to the outside so it stretches the tire to the outer edge a bit and gives some clearance.
If you wanted to go with the SCS options, the 17x8.5 will fit as well and prolly look better. I didn't want to wait on them at the time and went with what Discount Tire had available.

FYI, 17x8 with 4.5 backspacing Will Not Fit, you'll be lucky to turn the wheels at all.

17x9, They do rub the frame at full lock.
It's not enough to justify doing anything about it as it's literally at the end of the turn radius, but they do make a nice rumble when they connect.

I had to trim the fender right where it meets the door at the bottom, I think there is a bolt hole that gets cut out too.

I had to smash the hell out of the pinch weld/inner fender/kickpanel area. It's right on the edge of needing to be tubbed but it works and I have no plans to go any farther with it. I've had the tires fully stuffed on a few trails more than once and was pleasantly surprised they cleared better than I thought they would.

Overall very happy with the size, look and handling so far.

Edit, this was the start of my journey in getting to that size of tire.

I already had 4.88's before going to that size and they are doing fine. Perfect ratio for that diameter of tire.
Click on the link in the post above and there are a lot of pics, they span a few pages.
There is also a pic of that tire next to a 37" Super Swamper. They are quite close in size.

3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
33 12.50s on mine. Any bigger and you'll be cutting the bumper

I'm running Toyo R/T 285/65/18 on 18x9 Fuel wheels with -12 offset. Had to do the body mount frame trimming.

What lift setup you running? My wheels are 18x9 also but with 0 offset.
