Got the new tires for my 2023 DCLB TRDOR today. After much consideration I went with the P 265/70/16 Toyo Open Country ATIII. Now Im not new to this particular TOYO AT line as I have a set on my 95 (ATII)which are LT rated, and a pair on my 2010 Taco which are P rated.
Originally I wanted the Toyo AT Trails, but since they dont make the factory size I passed. My next choice would have been the ATIII in an LT but they dont make the factory size in an LT either. I was prepared to go up a size even though I didnt want to but what finally made up my mind was this: I drove some parts of the Alpine Loop with my 2010 and the P265/70/16s and had no trouble. The Alpine loop was in WAY worse shape than I anticipated due to all of the Texas wheelchairs that can be rented ANYWHERE close to this area.
Im am 100% happy after replacing the shitty Goodyears that came from the factory. The Toyos are slightly louder but the ride is exponentially better. Look good, ride great.
TL/DR If you want to see how good your truck CAN ride, skip the BFGs an get the TOYOs.
