First, I know there have been hundreds of tire threads and I shouldnt make another one but I have different wants than most and dont want KO2 tires.
I have a TRD sport with a little over 60k miles on the stock firestones and need to get new rubber. I actually like the stock tires but dont think they're worth the $ to replace. Most of my driving is on road and I want a tire that handles well and has a pretty stiff sidewall. I cant stand the floaty feeling some at tires have. I do go further off the road than the mall parking lot, but thats not a priority for me. Really what Im looking for is a stock sized mildly aggressive looking street biased tire that can go in the dirt, rain and snow and handles well.

I have AT3 6ply on my truck, not the 4S. They have been good for me!

i also have the Cooper AT3 LT E range in stock size, 265/65-17. but beware, these are seriously stiff tires, much stiffer even than 265/70's.... they are likely too stiff for most users, but i love them. go 4S or 265/70 for E:s.

If you like stock tires, check CL or your dealer. There are so many brand new take offs where I live. For cheap.

It’s not too bad. My 2nd gen has 9” so that made then a little worse then if I had kept stock. Might keep pizza cutters on this truck.

Ok thanks for the replies. I have decided on the cooper discoverer at3 4s but was wondering if the 265/70 would fit without mods, or do I need to stay with the 265/65 which cost over $20 more than the larger size and weigh about 2lbs less. I wasnt looking for larger tires but as we all know bigger is better.

265/70/17 fits 3G Tacoma’s with no rubbing or mods required.

    Yep

“Engineered to deliver traction on any surface it may encounter, the Discoverer AT34S combines on-road manners with off-road capability and provides confident light snow traction that meets the tire industry's severe snow service rating requirements and earns the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol.”

Can you add a little more info? What cooper, and what load/ply?

I'm always looking for feedback on cooper tires since I sell a lot to my customers. Every one has been happy with them (multiple fitment)
