I have had great results with Michelin tires for years on my cars but haven’t had them on any of my trucks because I always thought their tread patterns were more for freeways than off road.

I have the same Duratrac's on my 2020 DC OR. 3k miles and the wear seems even, so far. Running 40 PSI (that's how it came). The ride is smooth and handling fine. Might drop it down to 35 at some point to see if/how the ride & mpg are affected. Will also pay attention to the handling since they're 16's with a bit of sidewall.

The top is before. Bottom is after an alignment. if anyone had any input, great!! I’m wondering if this is way off or “just a little”
I got all new tires. I paid for two (one had a nail in it had to be replaced, def my fault) they paid for the alignment and two tires.
Overall I’m happy with the outcome. I wish I hadn’t spent the last few months worrying about a brand new truck’s tires and didn’t have to spend so much time at the dealership. I’m running 36psi as suggested here. If I pull something, I’ll bump it up to 40. thank you all for your help!!

    Shouldn't matter...
It's not what I was expecting to see; just the opposite.

Your alignment was perfect. I’ll say it ONE more time, you need to be running 35 PSI or more. They are cupping because your pressure is too low.

You are correct and, the guys calling it a Duratrac are correct too. Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. Its a really good tire in rain, mud, and snow.

Yeah, totally agree. Negative toe means they were pointed outward i.e. duck footed. They should have been showing wear on the inside.

The adjustment was pretty minimal. A slight toe set. Camber and caster looked good and were unchanged.

I hate to say someone is wrong, but Sharpish is not correct in their theory that low air pressure causes cupping. It does not. There is nothing wrong with running 35. More air is usually better. Your tires run cooler and if they run cooler, they last longer.

The Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac 265/70/16 is not installed at a port. It is factory installed before it hits GST or any other Toyota distro. Also if you have this tire, the same one will be installed as your spare.

There are only two tires that will have a matching spare tire. The Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac and the Hankook. All other tires automatically get a Hankook spare. (hope that was not too confusing :) )

Also the Duratrac is not a "P" tire. Look at it, there is no "P" before the 265/70/16 and this is the only OEM Tacoma tire that is not a "P" tire.

At the factory, the air pressure range (cold) on these is 230 to 260 Kpa (or 33 to 37 Psi). You will be fine within that range. 40 Psi is too high IMHO.

I didn't read the whole thread so forgive me if any of the info above was already mentioned. :)

    Good info! Thank you!!

Question: Is the factory installed Duratrac an OEM blend special? In other words, is it lower quality like many other OEM tires (~30k miles)? Or, is it aftermarket quality (~60k miles)?
