Tire wear on outside of front driver's side and bounce/wobble question

    Most preliminary diagnosing of the front suspension is done in the same manner as you already used; truck in the air and attempting to move the front wheels. You can also put jackstands under the front crossmember and allow the front wheels to droop, then place a jack under the lower control arms and compress/relax each side. You may want someone to assist with this so you can watch the suspension pivot points and see if anything odd is occurring during each suspension cycle.
