I am getting a set of stock 20" rims off a Tundra and putting them on my '07 Tacoma TRD Sport. Ive read some of the other post about largest tire with stock suspension, but from what I read it depends on the wheels size. The 20's are wrapped with 285/50/20 tires. Will these fit on my stock TRD Sport suspension. If so, anybody know of any modification needed (ie spacers)?

Are you sure the lug pattern matches. IIRC the tundra is different.

Also if they work, they will fit on stock suspension.

I think they are the same. The rims are from an 2004 Tundra, but they put the same rims on the '05 & '06 TSS Tacomas, so Im thinking the bolt pattern are the same.

bolt pattern is the same and 285/50/20's will fit on stock suspension as long as the offset is correct. if you can find out the wheel width and offset i'll be able to tell you for sure if they will work.

285's will not fit on stock suspension without major trimming. Period. Most people even have to trim for 285's with a 3 inch lift.

^^^285/50/20's are 31" tall and they WILL fit on stock suspension with the correct offset wheel! PERIOD!

Aren't they going to rub on the fender or body mount due to their width? I know the height is fine.

Even if you push them out pretty far, I would expect them to rub on something when turning.

Thanks everyone... Hey tacosupreeem. What is your suspension setup front and back? I was actually looking at getting the same rims you have. What offset are they? Do you have any spacers? Where the TC UCA necessary. I really don't want to lift my truck. I heard it throws off alignment then you have to get UCA then diff drop and some people still have vibrations and alignment problems.

dubstar2003, Now i have the ome lift with the TC arms. I have the kmc hoss in black that are 20x9 with a +18mm offset and 5.71" backspace. I dont have any spacers and they fit just fine. The only rubbing issue i've had is a slight scrubbing on the lca at FULL lock.(basically when the wheels are cranked all the way in one direction.) This is caused by the 11.5" wide tire. Its not bad though! You can run these wheels and the 285/50/20's on stock suspension, however i cant say whether or not you will rub the front mudflaps because i took mine off and sold them before i put the wheels on. The lift did throw off my alignment, before the tc uca's the best alignment spec. i was able to achieve was 0-toe,0-camber, and +1 caster. It drove decent but did tend to wander at interstate speeds.(70mph) So i drove it like that for awhile till i had the money to get the TC uca's. I never did install the diff. drop. I personally didn't have any vibrations and didnt see the need for it. Hope this helps?
