    Help quick guys please!

I am about to buy this mag with one of the 2 tires.
    - which tire do you recommend? Will do a lot of paved road driving.
    - do you know this wheel? Do you recommend it? Would you recommend another wheel, of that type?

    - Duratracs 265-70-17
    - Mumba M13 17"
    - All terrain K02 265-70-17

Both are great tires and there will be a lot of opinions which is best, but whatever you do make sure the tire you buy is "C" rated. Less weight and better mileage if you do most of your driving onroad. Don't know that wheel, but would recommend SCS Wheels. Best Tacoma specific aftermarket wheel money can buy.

I would recommend Yokohama Geolander AT G015 for paved driving. Have them on my truck and the ride is just like stock. I paid $180 per tire + installation (I run 285/70/17 though)

Cooper AT3 or Falken Wildpeak AT3W for something that sees a lot of pavement. Both will perform well off road. If you're in a snowy area, Wildpeak wins. Check reviews online, but you'll see that both these tires are very highly regarded.

If you're dead set on the BFG KO2 or Duratrac because they look badass, I'd go with the KO2. It's a newer design, has more modern tech that means better compound and performance. The Duratrac is known for excellent performance, but can be noisy as it wears and has a history of being difficult to balance.

Personally I'm going to run the Wildpeak next winter. I'll get a year out of the factory Goodyears in the mean time :)

Just got some KO2's on my Taco, I must say, without a doubt, they are the most badass LOOKING tires of the bunch. I haven't experienced any increase in roadnoise, and only maybe a very slight decrease in MPG, hardly anything at all. I couldn't be happier with them.

If you plan to a lot of paved road driving, I suggest you stick with designs for that purpose. The tires you sent pictures of are designed primarily for off road use. While they may look all cool and rugged, they will also be noisy on pavement, they won't wear as well and gas mileage will suffer. While the tires you picked are well made, I personally have had a lot of success with Generals. They cost less, wear like iron and are tougher than a bag of nails.

Here's another thing to think about. A wheel a tire setup like that just screams poser. Drivers who truly off-road snigger up their sleeve when they see trucks rigged out like that. And women who know trucks, like my daughter, are openly disdainful and wouldn't give the driver a second look.

Lol! I am not trying to pickup your daughter. I might not have explained in details my exact use, but I do take that truck out doing light offroading every weekend.

In that case, go with some Generals. I always bought the ones with a higher load rating to get thicker sidewalls. The ledge they use for logging road beds here in Maine is Hell on tires. Think about thise wheels, too. One if the problems some offroaders have with fancy wheels is that they crack when running through stream beds (aka rock gardens) or when hitting an unexpected hole.

Yea, I think it will work fine for my needs. The only other option in 265/75-16 from them is an E load which is overkill. If some other manufacturer comes out with a new C or similar P I'll check it out, but as of right now the main thing I prefer about the Duratrac is the aggressive tread pattern. The reports of road noise with aging and poor balance are making me hesitant in purchasing a set of Duratracs though. I'd really like a C load BFG KO2 in that size, but they don't sell them :/
