Hi! I have a stock Tacoma. I’m new to buying wheels/tires. I just bought a set of falcon t8. 17x9 (-32). I want to run 33s on it. What would be the best size? I was looking at some Kendra clever rts.

Your stock wheel is +24 and the new one is -32 you're looking at a 56mm difference, and the new wheel is 2" wider. You're gonna have to do some major fender, pinch weld, cab mount trimming because you're gonna rub fucking everything lol

Yes, nothing crazy though. Just a bit of flexing will be required here and there that’s about it

Do you have a good understanding of offset and back spacing? -38 is very aggressive. Just a lift will not do the trick for you. You’ll definitely have to chop the cab mount and do the viper cut at the very least. Your wheel bearings also are not going to be happy.

Id say I understand some of it not as much as others. What I’m getting at is the less offset the better? This was the only style of wheels I kinda just had to click the buy on. Knowing the offset was huge. Wasn’t to sure how big of an impact it could make? They haven’t even shipped out yet so I could cancel

That particular wheel is going to cause you a headache. I would try to stay with something 8" wide and maybe 0 offset or up to -10

Holy shit, that's like 2.5 inches! I have a 0 offset on 285/70R17 and they poke but that level offset is going to require A LOT of trimming.

It’s not that the less offset is better.

It’s that moving down from the factory +25 offset helps in getting the wheel away from the upper control arm, however it’s you don’t want to go too low with the offset into the negatives because then you have all new problems (that are harder to deal with).

The ideal offset is somewhere between 0 and -12 most people would say. If I were you I’d cancel and do more research before buying. This seems like it’s going to end up being a long road of headaches getting the wheels to fit.

If you stay with -38 on a 9” wheel, You 100% will need to have someone grind the cab mount and weld a new plate on at the very least.
