Excuse me if this is a stupid question,
As some of you may know i just bought the new TRD tacoma wheels in black the size is 17x7 which is a little smaller on the width

The tires im going to buy are 285/70/17 the Recommended width wheel size is 7.5,8.0,9.0 am i okay running these tires if they are 17x7?

What problems could arise buy running these tires? THANK YOU

It's fine....there won't be an issue, just more bulge on the sidewall. Below is my Jeep with a 15.5" wide tire on a 10" wheel (way out of what the manufacturer recommends). Worked fine for years. And on the Taco in my signature is 12.4" wide tire on an 8" wheel.
