I've got a 2013 tacoma sport with 1 1/2 leveling kit and was wanting tires and wheels. The wheels are -12 offset and I was wondering what width tire I can run. What to put 33 on it but know I need a 3 inch lift but was unsure about width cause most all m/t are 12.50 wide.

    Welcome to TW!

Most 33s for 16s/17s are 285s which is 11.2" wide. Going above 265/70/17s or 265/75/16s will require cutting off your cab mounts for clearance. Search for 'cab mount chop'. I'd suggest one of the 32" sizes above to avoid chopping and the lighter smaller tire will get better mpgs, acceleration, braking and if you get a C-load tire (very rare in 285) the truck will ride smoother too.

Is there any way to run a 12.50 on the tacoma? Thank you for the help.

There is always a way, someone that is more framiliar will have to chime in.

Why do you want to run such a wide tire?

That is way overkill on a Tacoma and has a whole slew of disadvantages compared to a narrower tire.

Well I've just always like the look of a wider tire over a skinny tire. I really want to run mud grapplers but the only thing they make them in is 12.50.
