Hey All, my friend just sold his 2010 Tacoma and kept the winter tires from it. He is giving them to me and I just want to make sure they will still work. I have a 2013 DCLB TRD Sport and he had a 2010 AC SR5. The biggest different is my current tire is the stock 265/65/17, and his winter tires he gave me are 245/75/16. So besides the obvious need of needing new rims (16"), would these tires still work fine for my truck?

And 2nd question - when looking at new rims, there are multiple widths, 8", 8.5", 9". Do you know what the correct width would be?

And lastly, does anyone know if there is a good place to get cheap, used, 16" rims for my Tacoma? I don't really want to buy new, and haven't been able to find any at a junkyard. I really don't want to have to pay $100/rim for my winter tire setup.

    Thanks!

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
Lookup that size on tire rack and look at the specs, it will tell you what rim size that tire is approved for, i will guess and say you want a 7-7.5" wide wheel. If i was you i would look for a used set of toyota wheels, maybe craigslist or maybe post up a want to buy thread.

Edit: looked it up for you, most tires in that size say 6.5-8" wheel. And that tire is the same diameter as your stock wheels they wont affect the speedo or odo. If anything you may get slightly better gas mileage with less rolling resistance.
