I also thought about the at2, but the treads are blocky, like a at tire is supposed to be, and so i thought the ms2 would be better on light snow/icy conditions because of the finger like tread blocks.

I ran 38 psi in both and the AT3s felt better. They're a lot cheaper too. I got mine through the DTD eBay deal and only paid $310 for all four.

39 lbs for LTX in the 265/70/16 I had p rated
    46 for the At3 in a 265-75-16 LT rated
    38 lbs for AT3 in 265/70/16 P rated

This. Tread bars are for the legal minimum 2/32" tread depth, which is OK only on dry pavement. Rule of thumb according to the Tire Rack is 4/32" minimum for rain and 6/32" minimum for snow.

...^^^... I have had both AT2's and MS2's and the MS2's were much better on wet & dry pavement and light snow & ice in north GA mountains.

The only thing bad about the MS2's aka new Defender is: ... it looks like the tires on your granny's Crown Vic (not aggressive looking for the off road guys).

The AT2's look better (more aggressive looking), but had less traction (in everyday driving) than the MS2's ... maybe off-road, the AT2's would do better that the MS2's ...

    In the future ... I will probably buy Michelin MS2's aka new Defender's ... for whatever I am driving. (I don't off-road).
