Well my first years with this Tacoma is about over and of course the tires that come on them from the factory absolutely suck so I'm wondering what's the best replacement tire for original oem

    Welcome
Maybe start with your intended use and expectations? That’ll get you better recommendations.

BTW: most everyone is going to suggest what they have

Cool your jets. The stock Goodyear tires are just fine. You only hate them because they don’t look as aggressive and cool as you hope the chicks see you.

And please get off my lawn, young man!

Either way, your question is likely to get a stream of answers that amount to, “I bought X tire and it’s awesome”

    Friday thread on Taco Tuesday?

Seriously, the Destinations from the factory have given me no heartache.

    I know where I won't ask what tires I should get next...lol!

EDIT: I know...it's not an OR. :duel:

For my 23' Off Road I went with

    265/75R 16, Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx

I wanted something E rated, I pull a travel trailer at times.and the bed is loaded. I also wanted something that would work well aired down. They fit the bill for me.

They corner and handle well even in the wet but they do have more road noise than the stock tires. I sold the stock tires.

....And before you ask, those are not scratches, they are where the brush rubbed off the layer of dirt on the truck on a day at the off road park.

I sold my oem Goodyears with 6k on them, for some good cash and bought the awesome upsized (C Load) 265/75/16 Duratracs. Loved them.

Do it, do it, do it!
Disclaimer: Duratracs may be too aggressive for the weak! :smokertransformer:

Need way more info on intended use for an accurate suggestion. But when in doubt super swampers are always the answer.

    Stock
Cooper Stronghold or Goodyear DuraTrac RT for off-roading.

Or the king of longevity and the quietness of a Dead Air Mask, the Michelin LTX A/T2.

If your use managed with the OEM tires' type, I'd go with Michelin ltx m/s2 (Defender). It would only be an improvement.

The Michelins look good - but are definitely NOT aggressive looking - (about the same as OEM). They do everything well. - They are even impressive (for their road thread) in dirt and snow.

If you do not go off road (or even if you do) these may work great for you.

I had them on a 100 Series Land Cruiser. They did it all. While being whisper quiet.

LTXAT2 are non available for OEM size wheels. I did have them on my 16 OffRoad 16"wheel. Now not available for my PRO with 16" OEM size?
