I live in Vermont and a lot of my driving is dirt roads and of coarse deep snow, snow packed roads and some ice. Iv been running BFG's all terrains for the last 45,000 and they are great.

Thinking about going with a different tire since the New BFG's are so expensive. looking for opinions on General Grabbers or Toyo at's?

    Thanks for any help

living in the cap district of ny next to you I've been through a bunch of different tires. I've had several sets of grabbers a set of st maxx the new falkens firestones you name it. All have been great except 20k on the falkens and their shot. I was talking to a friend of mine who was running duratracs and says their absolute beasts in the snow. Needless to say I have a set waiting to go when my rims are cured from paint. Hopefully makes those backwoods ice fishing spots easier to get to

I am not honestly sure as of yet, but I had Cooper AT3's before and they were great in the snow. These are a little more aggressive so I am sure they will be just as fine.

Yes I did and discount tire direct was running a killer deal ended up getting 180 off and 364 for prorate cost me 228 for all 4 265 duratracs delivered. The falkens were great tire in the snow just terrible mileage so I cant recommend them

I have Firestone A/T's - great on road & in any weather - have not gone off road so I don't know how they are wheeling - it would be class VI roads in NH anyway.

    My mechanic friends use Geolanders.

I've had Toyo A/T's - wore like iron, great on road and in weather - wheeled well too

The Dunlop A/T's I had also wore well but aren't made anymore.

I personally don't like the road characteristics of the BFG A/T's - too noisy due to tread pattern. The above tires have a solid center lug which makes the difference in road noise.

You should check out the Yokohama Geolander G015, really good warranty , 265/70/16 weigh 38lbs, I can vouch for the fact they're quiet, and has the 3 peak snow symbol.
