i wrote my last post before research was done. My truck is a 16 TRD Sport with a 3 inch leveling kit. 3 up front and 2 in the rear. Running 275s on a 20 inch wheel. Is there anyone running 285s or bigger with this setup? I’m considering dropping to an 18 inch wheel for a meatier tire. Don’t want to lift any higher because of the mpg drop. Would like to run 285s if possible.

Are you going to install a bumper or body mount chop? Going bigger will cause your front to have issues rubbing. Also wheel width and off set make a difference. You probably know all this already.

I went with 16" TRD Pro wheels, first put on 285/75/16s BFG KO2s and just recently swapped out for 295/75/16s Toyo Open Country AT2 extreme. I have a front bumper but have not done the body mount chop. No rubbing unless extreme articulation when off roading and it was minimal at that.

The TRDs are 7.5" wide and the tire is 11.6" wide on an 8-9" rim. The BFGs are 32.7 H new and the Toyos are 33.4 new. My Toyos are about 50%, stole from wife's LandCruiser..

Yeah, was considering doing a bumper swap, after looking at your setup I’m going to go that route
