I am looking for all terrain tires to replace the Firestone tires that came with my TRD Sport Tacoma.

I am looking for inexpensive tires but look aggressive. Do you know any tires cheaper than what I have listed below but has great performance, durable, not loud and can last more than 30k miles or more?

Currently these are the tires I am checking out but I am not really sure which one is the best. Sometimes it is not the best to be a newbie on all terrain tires :D

    • Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac ($179)
    • Falken WildPeak ($179)
    • Falken Rubitrek ($193)
    • BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO2
    • General Grabber

Tires are kind of a get what you pay for situation. If you dip much under that $180 range you're looking at, you will start getting junk. The WildPeaks you have on your list check most of your boxes. Those KO2 are probably pretty spendy. Plenty of options, but you don't want to skimp too hard.

Goodyear Wrangler Ultra terrain, checks all your boxes , and ride great. Those will only be at discount tire. Falken Wildpeak are great tires also. I have had both of those. I am sure the others you have on your list are good but I have no experience with any of them.

A little of this and a little of that.
    Welcome to TW.

The Falken Wildpeaks will be the best option for you, from your list, IMO.

I personally don’t like to use cheap and tires in the same sentence. :crapstorm:

I also have the ultra terrains. There priced well and liked them better than the duratrac At some point though might be jumping to Mickey Thompson Baja boss if I can get out the credit card down the road.

Thank you very much for all the recommendations. Do you have any picture of the suggested tires on a 3rd gen Tacoma? So far all the upgrades I have done are all minor upgrades and for convenience.

How you use the truck matters.

Since they are your only connection to the road, the right tire for the use matters.

Let the looks follow the function.

If you want a little more aggressive a/t hybrid you could go with these. Ive been running them for a while now.

Man those tire are all looking good. Coming from modifying import cars, I never appreciated pickup trucks before but now I do.

Thank you. Very good advice and will be put in consideration. That is true. The function of my truck will like a family car type and will "not" but maybe go off-roading. The aggressive tires caught my attention

"Off roading" encompasses a broad spectrum of terrain, remoteness, and activities. Some of which dictate a more involved decision than whether a tire "looks aggressive".

I corrected my previous entry and did not noticed that I did not include will "not" go off roading. The truck use is more on a family truck use.
