Ok guys I got it figured out now. Thanks for the advice.

I'm going to the alignment shop tomorrow to have them add some more castor via the lower control arm. I'm going to leave my UCA at the 0 degree setting for now. I did remember once I got UCA's on before it was aligned that I didn't have this rubbing.
Here is a pic. of the castor before the alignment below.

Also I noticed most of my rubbing is coming from the fender flare and there is small rub marks on the body mount.

I just trimmed my fender flares some and then tested it out going in and out of my drive way with the wheels turned making the front end flex and it would only hit the body mount on the drivers side very lightly where I have less castor.
Also in reverse I get body mount rub only on the driver's side while just turning with no suspension movement, but not the passenger side.

Current castor as shown above is 2.3 drivers and 2.6 passenger.

Probably go 2.8 drivers and 3.0 passengers side.

Hey brutal, that was my alignment right after the UCA installation, before I had it aligned.

The alignment shop was too busy today so I'll have to go back tomorrow at lunch.
I decided I'm going to add 1 degree of caster to both sides which would be 3.3 and 3.6, also try to get the camber better then the 0.7 that it is at now.

Most the Mercedes and BMW run like 8 degrees caster I read. That explains why they handle so well at high speeds like on the autobahn

My bushings on my UCA's are making noise and I realized I put the big washers on backwards with the concave side out thus causing the bushing to rub the washer.
So I have to take it apart tomorrow night again to fix that.

Thanks again for the help and I'll let ya guys know how it plays out after the alignment changes.

I just got finished with the alignment and NO more rubbing!

My caster ended up being 2.8 on the left and 3.3 on the right.
I do like having a higher castor, it does drive better on the highway at highway speeds. Feels more stable and the steering feels tighter and more controled.

I have about a half inch between the tire and the body mount now with the tire turned. Zero rubbing at full turn both directions and in forward and reverse. Haven't got a chance to hit any big bumps to see if I have any rubbing then. I doubt I'll hit too many bumps with the wheels turned that sharp though.

Now tonight I have to flip that washer around on my UCA so the bushings quit making noise. Have to get the garage warmed up after work. 25 Degrees here right now and going to snow later, might have to get some drifting video tonight for you guys to see.

If you search "Dr.D tacoma snow drift" on Youtube I have one good video on there.:headbang:

I have 2.8 caster, LR UCAs set on +1 position, no rubbing, 285/60/18s, 5100s at 2.5. I'd say it's possible to find happy medium with alignment good and no rubbing at all. Just gotta find it.

^^^^^^^^^^Oh, good, you found it, cool.............

Almost certain you're gonna rub the body mount with flex.

Since I had my truck aligned to approx. +3 of castor is seems my truck takes bumps on gravel roads much better along with other bumps on road like over rail road tracks and stuff better too.
It rides better and is more smooth and controlled.
I have no evidence of bump steer either.

By having the castor increased it will change the suspension geometry by moving the lower mount of the strut forward. Honestly my truck rides and handles the best it ever has. Even better then the factory set up when it was new.

Anyone that has adjustable UCA's should try to get them up around 3 degree's even though they say this is just out of the factory castor specs. I noticed a big difference from 2.3 to 3 degree's of castor surprisingly.

So what is ur LR UCA setting? Did you keep it at 0 deg? How about camber adjustment in the UCA?

Okay, I planned on getting the LR UCA'S and was wondering how most people set them up. So in the neutral position, they have +2 degrees of caster and you get your extra degree from adjusting the LCA? coming to a total of +3 degrees

Anybody wanna explain how to add caster via the lca? Is there some kind of cam like for camber?

Here's an example of the amount of additional caster aftermarket UCAs provide:

The Alignment Shop should be able to reduce the amount of caster (at the LCA CAM Bolts)...reducing wheel interference?

    There's always planB - Trimming :)
