Hey all, I'm a noob here and this is my first post. I'm not sure if this has been answered somewhere else, but either way maybe someone can help. I've got an 05 Double Cab TRD Off Road and just did a 3" spacer lift in front and 2" AAL in rear. New tires are 285/75/16 on stock rims. While this looks AWESOME (i'm hoping to post pics soon in the Silver Taco thread) on full turns i get a little rub on the UCA's. Is this something I should learn to deal with, or would a new set of UCA's correct this? I see alot of ppl installing Total Chaos UCA's and other brands. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

I have left mine alone. It doesnt hurt the tire, you just feel the vibes in the cab. TC or LR UCAs help with the alignments issues

I have my billy 5100's up to 2.5" and they rub at full turn as well. It doesn't seem like it's that big of a deal to me if you aren't doing it constantly. The TC UCA's/LR UCA's will help with the issue and if you have the money go for it

new wheels with more Back spacing and uca's would do the trick. There are plenty of guys on here running stock uca with 285's . you will rub some.

Thanks so much for the replies. I've heard some people aren't huge fans of spacers. What're the negatives?

Nope just rubs... The stock UCA is smooth on the side, so it just slips by

It can ruin your wheel bearings and put extra stress on the lug bolts

Thanks Mike - I'll probably look into the spydertrax. Do most guys do them only in the front? I'm just wondering how it would look to have the front wheels stick out a little more than the back. Maybe it's not that noticeable..?

if you do a small width spacer then you most likely wont need all 4. But if you were going with a large width... Go get all 4.

If you offroad alot or on occasion but give no mercy (or both) then just get new wheels.

If you do either or both with Spidertrax adapters/spacers, you can cause serious damage to you lug bolts, lug bolt threads, may cause the spacer to fail, and a higher chance of you wheel shedding the lugs.

    define correct ones.

I havent heard of Spidertrax failing, but I have seen threads on here about those All-Pro wheel spacers failing. It happened not too long ago
