So, I have a 2015 tacoma with a 2.5 in lift. I have been running 265/75/r16 tires and it's time for new ones. I wanted to go to a 33 in tire, is that possible on the stock wheels and the current lift? Would I have to do any modifications to make those fit? Thanks for the feedback.

I’m pretty sure you can fit them without any trimming.

I used to have 285/75/16 Yoko’s on my 3rd Gen with a 2” inch lift. No cutting or trimming needed for on-road driving and light off roading.

Thanks for the info and reply. Hopefully the 3rd gen is similar to 2nd gen in this category. A side question to this...I have an AT habitat on the back, about 350#....any idea on load rating recommendations? I will look and see on the interwebs.

I would think that SL or C rated tires would be just fine. That’s the same as having a few extra passengers in the truck.

    I was running LT285/75r16 on my 2008 with a 2 1/2 inch lift. I had to do a cmc.

The 33s will rub the uca on a factory offset wheel. You’ll need a cmc more than likely and a good alignment. If you do any decent kind of wheeling they’re gonna rub.

A 255 85 16 is 33" and on OE wheels as you specify doesn't even need a lift much less other work.

Op... from what i've read a 0 offset wheel is your best bet for minimal rubbing. For those running 33"... after doing the cmc how much clearance do you end up with between cab mount and tire?
