It's all relevance. If you are used to a HT, the AT's will be "noisy" If you are used to a MT, the AT's will be quiet.

One of my neighbors has some on his Ranger. Had em on there for a couple years now, it seems. I don't have any personal opinion or experience with them.

I just put a set of Michelin LTX AT2 Light Truck tires on my '06 Tacoma DC and I'm as pleased with them as I have been with my last 3 sets of the same tire (on other trucks).

They are 265/75R16 LT and measure 31.7". They are supposed to be too big but they fit just fine, no rubbing anywhere, no trimming necessary.

Being light truck tires rather than passenger tires they are stiffer and finally make the truck feel and ride more like a truck than a car. Just what I wanted and I'll never have a problem with overloading them.

I should also add that soon after the tires I got an AAL done which also stiffened up the ride a bit and raised the back by about an inch, also what I wanted.

Neontrail, thanks for all the info!

I just added a set of General Grabber AT2 yesterday (265/70/17) to stock sport rims. Chose the Generals after talking with the guys at my local off road shop; nothing against the BFGs, but they felt it was a very similar tire for $75-100 less per.

I love the look, and she finally drives like a truck after running stock Dunlops since I bought 'er. Cranked hard over, and they won't rub, so the fit seems perfect (thanks TW threads for that!). If I notice anything crazy in the next 10k, I'll report back. I'm spending next week in the woods, so I'll put 'em to the test then, but as of now, VERY happy!

Post a pick of the Grabbers' on your stock rims. I'd consider them too.

I've got the same tires 285/75/16 - great tire & I've been very happy with them. Low noise, balance well, and tread seems to last forever. I'll probably buy these again in the near future...some 295s or 305s next

Would be cool to see a list of all the tires with a Poll Option to see how many people are running them.
