I am planning on getting new wheels & tires this weekend. I'm looking at some 17x9 pro comps with BFG A/T KO's. Can anyone tell me which size tires will work the best without having to add or replace anything else? I also have 5100's on order for all 4 corners.

How much lift are you going to run? what is the object?... largest size possible, or largest possible without trimming/modifying, etc.?

A 265/70/17 is good for stock height with a little trimming on those wheels, and any lift over that will decrease trimming up to 2.5" where there shouldnt be any trimming necessary, though they may look a tad small @ 2.5" on the 5100's. A 285/70/17 will fit @ 2.5" with a bit of trimming/ mudflap removal. BFG also has a new 275/70/17 size iirc. That would be good for in between- probably no trimming @ 2.5", minor @ 1.75" etc.

5100's at 2.5 with flaps removed and no trimming.

    STOCKER....
Hi im a weekend off roader, i have a couple acres of land to play on but never do anything to extreme. During the week i am a contractor and do a pretty fair amount of street driving so im looking for some tires that have some decent bite offroad but aren’t to extreme. i love the look of the mud terrain but i think the all terrain t/a would suite me best does anyone have any suggestions for me? i have a 2010 trd sport v6
    Thanks

Yokohama Goelanders AT/S. I've had them and they are by far one of the best tires I have ever driven on. Great on road and off road traction and they look good IMO.

X2. Great tire. Most of what I've read on these is positive. Seems that people generally like to rotate them very often to avoid/keep down road noise.

I have a stock 2009 offroad and have decided to go
with the BFG AT KO so the question is this...If I have
265 70 16 now, what would I order if I wanted to go a bit wider
without rubbing or screwing up the speedometer?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

I believe 265 is as wide as you can go without a lift or some trimming, but you can go 265/75/16

I found this site don't know if any of you have heard about of it or not but they have some great prices on tires, of course i've only been comparing there prices to discount tire, but discount is the cheapest i've ever been able to find before them http://www.treadepot.com/
