So I went into my local tire store to check out some tires and wheels I plan on getting and was just wondering if anyone else was running these tires or wheels or both. The tires are Wild country xtx sport lt285-70r17 and wheels are MHT-Fuel Hostage or Helo HE835 wheels. Also the guy at the tire store wasn't sure if this tire size would work on my truck or not. I have a leveling kit kit right now but plan on getting a lift next spring. My trucks a 2002 4x4 with the leveling kit. Any advice, pics, anything would be great or even another recommendation for a set up would be great. I want to get it all right if I'm going to drop all this money. Thanks all.

Also I must add I am a total noob and have no clue what all I need. I just want a good looking set up for my truck that is basically bolt on no extra cutting, accessories, ect... Also even if I can run the lt285-70r17 would it look dorky? Should I go down a size so the tires don't fill up the wheel wells? Any body with black tacoma with tires/wheels post pictures please. Thanks again.

Good to see a fellow Oregonian! I think the tires you're referring to are from Les Schwab, correct? In all honesty, they are extremely overpriced, although I have good things about that tire.

I just got a new tire/wheel setup a couple months ago. I highly recommend America's Tire Co/Discount Tire Co. I got brand new 16" black MB Chaos wheels and 265/75 Hankook DynaPro ATM tires for $1,026 completely installed. Of course it took some dealing on my part and the willingness to walk away when I didn't like their price, but that company is definitely willing to make deals, whereas Les Schwab definitely will not.

The Hankook DynaPro is an amazing tire, and the wheels look awesome, I could not be happier with my purchase. You should definitely check it out.

As far as the tire size you are looking at, I'm guessing there will be some rubbing if you go with 285/75/16.
