so i just put in the order for the rough country 2.5'' lift via shackles and spacers. i was wondering what size tires i should run. i know im either goin with the firestone destination mt's or the cooper discoverer stt's. im not really worried about a little rubbin. i was hopin i could run 285's but i need some better advice. feel free to post whatever you want. thanks

Well I've never run the Discoverers before but I just put the Destination MT's on my truck about 500 miles ago. They are AWESOME. They handle mud really well, they're actually suprisingly quiet on the road for an MT. There is minimal howl from 30-50, (it actually sounds pretty cool) and then 50-70 they quiet up. If I have my radio on normal volume I honestly don't even hear the tires at all. Not to mention they look good too, gotten many compliments.

I have 31's with a 2.5'' lift and look to small imo, I am going to throw some 33's on and I will have to do a little bit of trimming.

285/75/16's with the Rough Country 2.5 lift, trust me, 2-3 minutes with a box-cutter blade and you'll be in business.

I got the same lift and put 285/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers. 17x9 Addicts. Probably will go with different tires next time. However, they do the job. I had to do a little trimming in the front wheel wells and take off the mud flaps.
