looking at getting new tires for the rig, but not looking to do the BMC/CMC. was looking at tires in the 16" range to fit my stock wheels.. and best I can do is a 285/75/16 which is a bit large.. and believe it would require the CMC/BMC mod.. along with some other trimmings..

    what if i go with a 275/70/17?

    (NEW) (STOCK)
    height: 32.2" 30.6"
    width: 10.8" 10.4"
    sidewall height 7.6" 7.3"

similar sidewall height, spedometer 70MPH=73.7MPH (liveable), gain .80" ground clearance, and the width should be able to be countered with an appropriate wheel offset to not hit the upper control arm. when i have some better weather I'll make a template for measurements. the 17" wheel opens up a bunch of tire options that are not available in the 16" tire market.. I do like the look of the stock TRD OR rims though....
