I am looking at buying new tires and would like some opions on these two tire options i have come down to..

33 inch bfg all terrains (285/75/16)
    or
    33 inch cooper discoverer s/t (285/75/16)

i will be using my truck as my everyday driver as well as going out hunting fishing, camping , etc .. so i will be using them in moderately muddy conditions but not all the time.

also where i live there is a fair amount of snow and icey weather in the winter

any thoughts you have on these two tire or if you have herd good or bad about them plz let me know..

    thanks guys

what size exactly were you thinking of? 285/75/16? If so go for the BFG's for sure. Great tire.

    okay.

Well I have the s/t's on my truck but in 255/85/16 (33.3x10). If they made the BFG's in that size I would have those.

Go for the BFG's for sure... Chances are, they are going to cost more than the Cooper's.. However, when I sold my 98, my BFG's had 60k miles on them and still had plenty of life. The winter traction was unbelievably good. They had barely any road noise all the way up until 60k. Very good tire.

Mike- On the Duratrac's, I didn't have time to flip through all 30+ pages.. Has anyone put a lot of miles on these?

The thing I liked about the BFG AT's were how quiet they were throughout their life. I have also heard of people getting 80k or more out of the BFG's.

I am not doubting that the Duratrac's are a good tire, I just wonder if they are better. I do like how they look.

I have about 10k so far, a whole winter
good smooth ride on highway, slight hum, but only notice if radio off.
have been most impressed in the winter, better than the BFG AT
i used to run on my other trucks
I was looking to get the BFGs on this truck untill i found the Duratracs
