    It seems a 245/75/16 is very close in size to a 265/70/16 tire. 265/70/16 is wider, but the height is basically the same as is the sidewall. The wider look might look cool.

    265/70/16's came from the factory on mine. I assume they are still an option. I upsized slightly to 265/75/16 years ago. They are about 1" taller than stock and the same width as 265/70/16's and only about 3/4" wider than 245/75/16. I don't see any downsides. They are not enough bigger to hurt anything, and they are a more common size that cost less.

    If you do a lot of off-road driving, or even spend a lot of time on unimproved dirt roads the tougher E rated tires are a viable option. They do weigh more, and do ride a little harsher, but the difference isn't a deal killer if you NEED a tougher tire. The biggest downside is that they are much more expensive and if you don't need them, why pay for them.
