    Truck drove fine....

Went to start it in Parking lot.

Key on, heard a click and everything died.....no dome light no nothing.

    Good battery.

A few minutes later tried again, power came back on. Tried to start, lost all power again, not even a dome light. Heard a click near or in fuse box. Again no power.

    Any ideas?

Ok....so it seems like there is some kind of circuit breaker that reset itself after a while.

Key in, seemed normal, went to start, again, lost all electrical power including dash lights, and some light.

Tried a jump start. Nothing. I'm trying to get back to my house to get my moving truck packed. I'm supposed to drive from Omaha Nebraska to Maryland tomorrow.

Done, didn't help, the terminals were clean and tight.

This would cause all electrical to kick off?

Which one is the fuel pump relay?

I assume there may be another relay I can swap it with? Maybe AC?

I didn't think about the electrical, have no clue.

That's why I didn't ask in my previous question. That was my first thought as well but wouldn't explain the electrical.

If there was a fuse box click it could be a relay that died, but not sure which one would cause the interior lights and everything to die. Seen that with the Room/Cabin fuse, but that won't prevent the vehicle from starting.

Did it fire up at all with the new battery or could both batteries bad? And you're 100% sure in the panic that the new battery got installed and not the old one again?

Battery is good, also tried a jump start

The truck is not trying to crank.

As soon as I turn the key to start it's a complete loss of all electrical power. Some sort of fuse or relay pops, and then it takes a while for it to reset

    F. I'm out of ideas for a quick fix without seeing it at this point.

You may think battery is ok but it still sounds like the battery is the issue. When jumping DO NOT connect negative side of cable to the battery, connect to a solid grounding point on engine.

Check your your larger fuses both under the hood and under the dash. The "click" may have been a fuse getting blown..... or check your starter relay.

Check all of the grounding cables. Not just that they're fastened/bolted but give them a tug to make sure they're not corroded inside the connectors.

Beyond that my bet would be an internal fault in the battery that only occurs under load.

This sounds like a main power or ground issue, do you have a meter or test light with you?

Truck has started several times over the day.....strong start every time, voltage was good.

Tried a jump start with no help.

I'm going to wait for whatever thing is popping to cool down and hopefully reset, try and pull back the truck and roll start it by popping it into second gear.
