So after jumping in headfirst roughly 10 days ago, not knowing anything about stonks, here's where I am after my initial investment of $1000.

Now I noticed something odd maybe someone can explain.
Everytime i've sold, I had to wait 4 days for my $$ to return to my "Buying Power".

But there it is. It returned instantly just now.

 

Retail fully exited $GME in favor of the $HOOD dip, so I'm not sure what you expect?

 

I believe that could be on margin? But at least for me it still takes a few days for a trade to clear and have the money in/out of my account

 

Added 300 $VET at $5.73.
I had 1000 that I sold at $7.99 and I'm rebuying at a discount...I'm going back to 1,000 shares AND I'm grabbing some long $5 calls when it dips big like this

 

Don't you have to turn on or opt into Margins?

I know the "cash" will become available after a trade, but i don't believe it's yours until the trade clears. Could be wrong

 

Ok. I'm just gonna let everything chill and get back in on something next week.

 

When you sell a STOCK you have to wait Day +2 for the sale to clear and the money to be "yours" until it clears the cash is basically loaned to you from the broker (this is not to be confused with margin) Say you sell 10 shares of stock A @$10 a share for $100 total. You can use that $100 immediately to buy something but you cannot SELL that something until that d+2 money clears or you are a day trader...3 of these and you get punished!!!!
For TD go to my account, cost basis, unsettled closed positions...that shows you your sales that have not 'settled' yet. The proceeds from those sales is the difference between your total cash and cash available (unless you have open contingent orders, that ALSO subtracts from cash available)

Well, My SONN and NVDA are settled and the only one is VIRPAX. So sonn and nvda settled that quickly allready?

 

I used virpax monies to buy nvda.
I guess that's strike 1. lol!
