TNF 600 Sunday 8-30-20

Myself, Pdaddy and Brian422 (if he gets his truck together today) are gonna ride the 600 roads tomorrow. Same bat time and same bat channel, Jack's in Sylacauga @9am. If anyone is interested in riding a soupy 600 trail, come on out and join us!

Sorry man. I got to have tires put on the Lexus and I don’t have a bumper on the truck still.

We were supposed to be riding at Coppingers right now, but I heard TN got a ton of rain from the hurricane. Yall still going up there?

I went through Talladega, the skyway, and adams dr last time we rode at Chocco on the way home. It's a great area to ride. A lot of the forest service roads were closed, but the ones that were open we took. They were scenic and really beautiful. Nothing technical, just a good relaxing ride. We got rained on and soupy is definitely a good way to describe it - it took a lot of washing to get all the mud out when we got home. Even though it wasn't technical, I had to use 4x4 a couple of times to get up muddy hills without making ruts.

 

Axles are on FedEx vehicle for delivery so as soon as they come in I’m getting them in the truck

 

I am around, it has been busy at work lately so I haven't been posting much. I only get a chance to check the Alabama thread once a day or so and normally it is 5-6 pages deep just to get caught up. I saw the talk of going to tomorrow and have been trying to move stuff around to go but it doesn't look like it is going to happen unfortunately.

There will be other rides! Hunting/camping season is just around the corner. We are still down for the Coppingers trip, just postponed to a later date!

@gixxerphil’s mishap had me thinking, so I had to go verify that all my nuts were still torqued to spec. Just to be on the safe side. Thankfully they all were!

 

I just rotated my tires and I’ve never been more cautious thanks to Phil lol
