For all in northern states.....the por 15 system is way to go

    etch, rust coat, top coat.....

    Amazon.com: POR-15 Rust Preventive Paint - Gloss Black - 1 qt - Rust Preventive Paint | Stop Rust & Corrosion Permanently | Anti-Rust Protective Barrier : Automotive

    https://www.amazon.com/POR-15-40204...9bc-4fa0-91cd-d80dc3d7fa08&pd_rd_i=B00J5940JE

But for best results.....needs to be done during summer time.....

Mines a texas truck....tiny bits rust here and there....I still went on the hunt....

thats how I know about the after market part rust trap......

Little tip here....if your not changing brake fluid every 4 or 5 yrs.....lines are rusting from inside out....
They're trying to keep pace with your power steering hoses....
that is the hidden decay.....from the inside......
crap turns into liquid sand paper...
    nothin lasts forever......
    7 yr coolant....my ass....

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
I’ve got 2 at around 200k, one with almost 500k, one just under 100k and one at 300k. Damn good trucks. Just rust is the issue.

Watch out with that zinc chromate stuff, if you ever have to weld on the frame your going to be very exposed to hexchrome which is not something you want to mess with. Even the high zinc primers aren't great, I gave myself zinc poisoning welding on my frame after I didn't grind the paint totally off, and didn't turn my fan off because I was only going to run a few beads.

If you ever curious what the inside of your rusty truck frame rails look like:.
