These divisional playoffs were the worst games of the year. Thankfully the Chargers and Jets game was competetive until the end. The other three games stunk...

Favre vs. Brees = should be a good match up if the Saints can hold back the Vikings D line, in the end they can't. Favre wins in a thriller, in the house he won his last Super Bowl. Kim Kardashians boobs fall out while on camera AKA wardrobe malfunction!

Manning vs. Sanchez = I think this will be the week the fantasy ride for the Jets comes to an end. Manning is in top form and the whole resting your players conversation has been slammed shut. Colts in a blow out.

Saints vs. Colts (28 - 25) Colts Victory, Peyton Manning MVP.

Pro Football has always been a business and profits rule. The astute owners know this and do what is needed to increase revenue.

It has always been about the money. Even back in the 1950's players made extra money for sacks, tackles, interceptions and such. The smart players then and today invest the money wisely. It is very easy for a multi million dollar star to be broke very quickly.

True to a degree; I take for granted you were of the age to realize back then that it appeared most of the players were "in it to win it", and that there didn't seem to be as much emphasis on the flash/dash/cash aspect of the game today. Of course that can be said of most sports, and there are a number of players who still play for the game, but I enjoyed the old school style more...

 

I enjoy the old school more but sadly it is gone forever. Players back then as now were always looking to up the perks for performance. In some respects I like that more because it rewards the players that are excelling at the game real time and not getting paid for how well they performed last year.

 

To tell you the truth as a diehard Charger fan I am absolutely glad that the Chargers lost yesterday. They were playing classless all day. What do they think they are the Raiders. If I wanted to see a bunch of thugs and overpaid trash play football I would shave my head and paint it black.

87 penalty yards. Are you serious. Thats 26 yards more than their rushing total. Absolutely disappointing. The fact that most of those yards came from Unsportsman Like Conduct and Personal Fouls makes me sick.

Yep, looks like those days are gone...as well as 10 cent Cokes, nickel candy bars and 28 cents per gallon gas! Have to admit, it is nice to be able to sit and push a button to change 1 of 300 channels now rather than to walk across the room and turn a knob, hoping you can get reception on at least 2 of 3 channels offered, and in color at that! Wife says I need to "modernize", but I still miss drive in movies and such...enough of the past; time to grab some microwave popcorn and turn on ESPN
