To Buy or Not. Rusty 2011 trd off road

Yeah I think I got super lucky because my frame looks brand new and it has 130k miles on it but it’s been in Tacoma, WA since it was brand new. My buddy bought one from NC not knowing much about frames...... he made a pretty big mistake

Did the dealer mention that it has rust underneath? Or did you discover it and realise he's a swindling shit head.. Thats more than I paid for my 40k-mile garage kept pampered 2013..

 

Damn, I feel bad for all these people with rusted out frames that missed the frame replacement window... So you're just left with a shit truck not worth anything?

OP, your inner voice was correct - no. Unfortunately, someone will buy it and pay top $$ and then be really ticked off.

 

Is this truck at the Marianas Trench auto dealer? I think I saw it as I was wafting by in my private bathyscaphe.

 

Only chance I’d buy that truck is if it still qualifies for a free frame replacement from Toyota. I have a brand new frame under my 07.

This shit is what I find disgusting. Maybe I should blame the buyer, but for salesmen to just play people so bad (I’ve been on of those people) they really have no shame

For some reason, so many people have become too trusting of what everyone tells them. They don't bother researching anything that they buy.
My parents taught me to always research what you want to buy, and don't take anyone's word on anything. Because most times its the person that's selling it, that's telling you about it . Not very unbiased.
Confirm it yourself, and then get It all in writing.

Words mean nothing. Facts do!!! Especially when it's my hard earned money I'm dealing with.

 

Easy choice, hard pass. If it has that much surface rust I would be curious what the inside of the boxed frame looks like. Sorry OP, keep looking my friend.
